SYNOPSIS
Jake and Maggie’s constant bickering causes a horrifying car accident and the death of their only child, 10-year-old Ben. After spiraling into self-loathing and recrimination, they commit to starting a new family only to discover that Maggie can no longer conceive.
Exhausting all other possibilities, they turn to the murky world of illegal surrogacy and journey to a remote Asian village that offers desperate couples the chance of a child.
